Veronica Brunda, RN, BSN:
Veronica has 32 years of skating experience, including 13 years as a professional instructor. She is a USFS Gold Medalist, an ISU Bronze Medalist and an ISI Gold Certified Judge. Veronica performed in the “America on Ice” shows and, with an extensive background in dance and choreography, trained with the American Chamber Ballet. She has taught recreational skaters through USFS Regional competitors and has earned the Silver Blades Award for excellence in coaching. Patti Burns:
Patti started skating at the age of 5 and has been teaching recreational and competitive figure skating for 35 years including singles, pairs, dance, and moves in the field. She has coached skaters from learn-to-skate classes through Regional, Sectional, Junior National, National, and International competitions. Patti has also been the director of several skating schools in the Midwest where she was in charge of all aspects of ice shows including, music editing, costumes, choreography and set design. Throughout her many years of coaching she has also enjoyed the comradery of team teaching. Some of the Coaches Patti has worked with are; National and International Coach & National Technical Specialist Libby McFadden Scanlan; National & International Coach Cindy Watson Caprel; as well as World and Olympic Coach & Champion Oleg Vasiliev. As an amateur skater, Patti trained with Olympic coach Pierre Brunet in New York City and was the dance partner of World and Olympic coach Richard Callaghan. As a team, they earned the prestigious United States, Canadian, and International Gold Medals. Patti has recently moved to Arizona and is looking forward to training skaters of all levels. Uyen Carlson:
Uyen has 16 years skating experience, including nine years as a professional instructor. She has a strong emphasis on competitive skating and has coached skaters at the regional level. Uyen has extensive dance experience and has trained in many styles of dance that included jazz, ballet, tap, hip-hop, acrobatics, lyrical, and modern. She danced with the Phoenix Suns for three seasons as well as the Phoenix Mercury Hip-Hop squad for two seasons. She has had the privilege to travel to New York and China to represent the Suns organization. Kayluh Derzy:
Was born in Southern California, where at age 2 she began training in ballet, hip-hop, and lyrical (along with many other forms). In addition to the grueling and strict practices dance school entail; she acted regularly with local theatres and sang solo/with competitive choral groups. With over 17 year’s dance, 10 year’s theatre, and 8 year’s competitive gymnastics experience respectively, she is no stranger to activities where the body produces the performance. Kayluh is also a certified 2nd Degree Black Belt in Taekwondoe under the ATA. In 2005 she took up figure-skating, “just for fun” but ended up dedicating many, many hours to the sport and advanced up to high competitive levels. Kayluh continues to train full time at Polar Ice Gilbert and Alltel Ice Den where she competes under the Coyotes Skating Club of Arizona. She is currently working to receive her Gold’s in Moves in the Field and Freestyle. Kayluh strives to build confidence and strong work ethics in children, adolescents, and adults through figure skating. While fostering the discipline and courage it takes to perform such a demanding—but rewarding—sport, it beings to transfer over to the child’s various other activities outside of the rink. Kayluh knows that when a child believes strongly in themselves and works hard—they are capable of succeeding in anything.

Mark Fitzgerald:
Mark competed extensively at international competitions, including U.S. Nationals, Junior Worlds and Worlds. He has received gold and international medals in ice dance, silver medal in figures, freestyle and pairs. He has trained with many World and Olympic coaches in Delaware, Ottawa, Boston, Montreal and Germany. Mark has been a professional skating instructor for 15years. He has taught more than 30 students through their gold medal, many of whom have skated in Junior-National, National, International Junior Grand Prix & Adult National events. He also played an important role in helping U.S. Figure Skating create the new Moves in the Field Structure. Mark specializes in Moves in the Field, Ice Dance, Freestyle, IJS footwork sequences and Power Skating for figure and hockey. He also offers Digital Music Editing, Precision Skate Sharpening, Figure Skate Sales & Dartfish Video Analysis Training for Figure Skating and Hockey. Dartfish is perhaps the most exciting video analysis technology on the market for athletes. Tammy Jimenez:
Tammy is a Gold Medalist in Freestyle, 7th Figure, and Pre-Silver Dance. She is a PSA Registered Rated in Moves in the Field and Freestyle, USFS member, and USFS Committee member. 26 years of skating experience, 11years competitive, and 16 years professional. Tammy was also the Figure Skating Director for Arizona Special Olympics for 16 years. She was the head coach for Special Olympics World Games Alaska in 2001. Tammy was a recipient of US Figure Skating college scholarship in 1991. Tammy has coached competitive skaters at the regional and national level. Emma Keppeler:
Emma began skating at the age of six on Martha's Vineyard, a small island off the coast of Massachusetts. She skated competitively until the age of seventeen at the reknowned olympic training center in Simsbury, Connecticut. Emma trained under the elite coaching of world champion Vadim Naumov and Olympic coach Galina Zmievskaya. She moved to Arizona and began coaching at Desert School Coyotes Center, Chandler in September of 2005. Emma truly believes that figure skating is a wonderful sport with many benefits for those that participate. She currently holds her certified freeskate rating through the Professional Skaters Association and has achieved her silver in freeskate and gold in moves in the field. Emma is held in high esteem and has received many accolades from her students and parents alike. Emma coaches all levels, beginner through advanced in moves, freestyle, choreography and off-ice training.

Lauren Kreigel:
Lauren has 15 years of skating experience and loves teaching skaters of all ages and levels. She is a Gold medalist in Moves in the Field and is currently working toward her Gold Freeskate. Lauren has always focused on singles skating but is versed in team skating as well. She recently earned her first international silver medal at the 2010 US National and International Theater on Ice competition. Lauren feels coaching is a great way to give back to a sport that has touched her life so much. In addition to teaching strong fundamentals, she strives to build poise and determination in her students. Naomi Lang
Naomi is a five-time National Ice Dance Champion, five-time World competitor, and a 2002 Olympic Team Member. Naomi has made history by being the first Native American woman to compete at a Winter Olympics. Naomi has also medaled at five 4 Continent Championships, and received the bronze medal at the 2000 Skate America Championships. She is the 1996 Junior National Ice Dance Silver Medalist, and the 1995 Novice Ice Dance National Champion. Naomi has been trained by world renowned coaches Igor Shpilband, Elizabeth Coates, Alexander Zhulin, Nikolai Morozov, Natalia Dubova, and Tatiana Tarosova. Naomi has performed with many skating shows and tours after turning professional. Champions on Ice in 2002, and 2003, Many Dission, and Art on Ice skating television shows, where she got to perform live to artists like, Earth Wind and Fire, Michale Bolton, Chris Deburg, Frankie Vallie, Sarah Brightman, Lisa Stansfield, Robin Gibb (Beegees), and Daniel Powter. Naomi also had the pleasure of performing at Jim Carreys private skating christmas party. Naomi has been traveling for the past 5 years all over Europe with Evgueny Plushenkos Stradavarious Violin Tour, and now resides in Gilbert, Arizona. Along with skating, Naomi was an accomplished ballet dancer for 15 years. She trained with the Grand Rapids Ballet Company and Junior Ballet Company, in Grand Rapids, Michigan for 5 years, performing in many on stage productions.
Naomi has been teaching for 13 years, and has taught students who have competed at the Junior National level, and the National and International level. Naomi has her gold medal in Ice Dance, and Freedance, and her silver medal in Freestyle, and Moves in the Field. Naomi specializes in Ice Dance, Choreography, polishing of programs, stroking technique and Freestyle.

She has a BA in primary and secondary education from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She brings with her the knowledge of skating and the wisdom of a mom. Jennifer Parks:
Jennifer’s love of skating started early in the mornings on the ice rinks of the San Francisco Bay area. She got a late start, but soon got hooked and at the age of 13 she started competing at local competitions in figures, freestyle, and synchronized skating. Jennifer competed several times at the Central Pacific Regional Championships and tested through Juvenile in figures and freestyle. In 1998, following college Jennifer began sharing her love of skating with others. She started teaching recreational and competitive skaters. Today she loves choreography and specializes in helping recreational students transition into the world of competitive skating. When she’s not teaching skating, Jennifer works as a television news reporter. She’s interviewed such skating greats as Peggy Flemming, Katrina Witt, and Elizabeth Manley.

Lynne Petta:
A USFS triple gold medalist in freestyle, figures, and moves in the field, Lynne first took to the ice in 1985. She has 15 years of coaching experience, and 10 years of professional skating experience performing as a soloist in various ice shows around the country. Lynne has performed alongside Olympic champions Dorothy Hamill, Brian Boitano, and Oksana Baiul in “Broadway on Ice”, and skated as a soloist in numerous Christmas shows and summer shows produced by the Charles Schultz (“Peanuts” cartoon creator) family. She was also a featured soloist in “Holiday on Ice Under the Desert Sky”, a television special starring Brian Orser and Nancy Kerrigan. She continues to skate professionally, performing occasionally throughout the year. During her eligible skating career, Lynne was a five time U.S. National competitor, 10 time Pacific Coast sectional competitor, 11 time regional competitor, and 4 time U.S National Collegiate competitor. Throughout this extensive qualifying competition experience, she became a U.S. National silver and bronze medalist, five time Pacific Coast medalist, 18 time regional medalist, and U.S. National Collegiate champion. Lynne has her regional appointment as a technical specialist for the International Judging System, and enjoys serving on the technical panel at competitions. She is a PSA Senior rated freestyle coach who coaches freestyle and moves in the field and specializes in spins, presentation, and choreography. She has also passed the PSA Master level sports science exam. While developing her skating career, Lynne attended Arizona State University. She graduated summa cum laude from ASU’s College of Business with a BS degree in economics. Lynne is a member of USFS, PSA and PFSC.

Jennifer Anderson-Sanchez:
Jennifer Sanchez was a Regional, Sectional and National singles competitor and has over 12 years of competitiveskating experience. Jennifer has passed her USFS 7th Figure, Junior Free Skating and Bronze Dance tests and was trained in ballet and jazz for more than 10 years. During most of her competitive career, she was fortunate to have trained under one of the top figure skating coaches in the world and now looks forward to passing on her knowledge to help develop skaters of all ages and abilities.

Originally from Canada, Cassandra has 14 years skating experience. She specializes in teaching special needs skaters of all ages. She is the Special Olympics Figure Skating Director for the State of Arizona. Cassandra has earned her Gold Skills in Canada, Junior Silver Dances in Canada, and Senior Bronze Freeskate in Canada. Toni Wright:
A PSA, USFS, ISI member, Toni has her Gold Moves in the Field, Silver Freestyle, 3rd figure Test. Toni has 15 years of skating experience, and she began her coaching career internationally in Madrid, Spain, where she was a rated coach with the Spanish Federation. While living in Madrid, Toni studied the art of flamenco dance at the prestigious Amor de Dios studios and currently dances professionally with various flamenco groups in the Valley. Academically minded, she also has a BS in civil engineering from the University of Arizona.
Toni enjoys working with skaters of all ages and abilities, competitive and recreational, with choreography, moves in the field, and freestyle.

Heather Yale:
Heather first learned to figure skate on a frozen pond in her backyard during the crisp winters of Minnesota. Her passion of the sport grew into several years of competing including the 2000 ISI World Championships held in Blaine, Minnesota. Since then, Heather has enjoyed coaching skaters of all ages and levels, with an emphasis on having fun and loving the sport.
